South Park creators brushed off the White House rebuke of their season-opening presidential parody by dropping a new trailer depicting Donald Trump in an illicit relationship with Satan.
According to USA Today, “The 20-second trailer includes a shot of Trump attending a dinner, where he is sitting at a table with Satan. As a speaker is heard talking about honoring Trump’s courage, the president rubs Satan’s leg under the table, and Satan tells him to stop.”
The Season 27 premiere that aired earlier this month began the storyline, showing an animated Trump “literally getting into bed with Satan,” the report said.
One of the episode’s main plot lines was Trump suing the town of South Park.
“By the end of the episode, the town agrees to do pro-Trump messaging as part of a settlement. The show then cut to a faux public service announcement showing a live-action depiction of Trump taking off his clothes and crawling through a desert.”
White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told USA Today that the show by creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”
At a recent appearance at San Diego Comic-Con, Parker and Stone “sarcastically apologized for the episode,” according to the report.
The new trailer also features the character Eric Cartman with a similar hairstyle to Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk yelling at a fellow student for loving “abortion.”
Kirk embraced the parody and changed his X profile picture to a screenshot of the character. He wrote to his more than 5 million followers, “I’m so watching this,” Fox News Digital reported.
