The release of the 2025 Social Security and Medicare Boards of Trustees report has rekindled fears of Social Security going bankrupt. Although these fears have sparked some legitimate discussions about how to fix the program’s funding, the fact is that neither this report nor any other honest assessment has found that Social Security is going bankrupt.
