Donald Trump Jr. posted a bizarre gushing over his dad as he shared a denim-clad AI image of the 79-year-old president with the comment, “so hot!”
The president’s son was inserting himself into the Sydney Sweeney advertising firestorm.
“That Hanse…. Um, Donald is so hot right now!!!” he posted on Instagram, apparently referencing Owen Wilson’s Zoolander character while promoting an eye-popping artificial intelligence rendering of Trump lying across a floor in double denim.
The post capitalizes on a racism controversy surrounding American Eagle’s campaign featuring “White Lotus” actress Sweeney. The brand’s tagline “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans”—a play on “good genes”—sparked outrage over apparent eugenic messaging.
“The American Eagles ad wasn’t just a commercial. It was a love letter to white nationalism and eugenic fantasies, and Sydney Sweeney knew it,” activist Zellie Imani wrote on X, triggering a MAGA meltdown.
Sen. Ted Cruz predictably jumped in to defend Sweeney, posting: “Wow. Now the crazy Left has come out against beautiful women,” the Daily Beast reported.
Trump’s communications director Steven Cheung escalated the rhetoric, calling criticism “warped, moronic, and dense liberal thinking” and a “big reason why Americans voted the way they did in 2024.”
“Cancel culture run amok,” Cheung declared, sharing an MSNBC article titled “Sydney Sweeney’s ad shows an unbridled cultural shift towards whiteness.”
