SCANDAL: Christian Group Demands Investigation, Alleges WOKE Energy Corp Funneled $3 BILLION to Radical ‘Diversity’ Projects Instead of Fixing Power Grid

The Christian Employers Alliance (CEA) is calling for a federal investigation into Xcel Energy, citing alleged misuse of public resources and breach of ratepayer trust.

The group alleges that the woke company has funneled three billion dollars into radical “diversity” projects instead of fixing the power grid.

CEA said in a press release, “Xcel has funneled billions of dollars into ESG-driven initiatives – including renewable infrastructure linked to controversial political goals – while deferring critical safety repairs and forcibly seizing private land from Colorado ranching families.”

“Xcel Energy has transformed into a political actor, using its monopoly power to promote ideologically driven programs at the expense of reliability, affordability, and public safety,” said CEA President Margaret Iuculano. “This is not just bad business — it’s a betrayal of public trust.”

Nerve News reports, “Most damning, wildfire mitigation funds were allegedly diverted toward United Nations climate initiatives and racial equity programs instead of preventing catastrophic blazes like 2024’s Smokehouse Creek fire. Meanwhile, Xcel aggressively acquired private land from Colorado ranching families to facilitate its green energy transformation.”

The CEA press release explained:

CEA believes fires such as the Smokehouse Creek fire that burned a million acres in 2024 could have been prevented, had there been proper investment in infrastructure resiliency and had Xcel not done the following:

  1. Tie 30% of executive compensation to ESG metrics, such as carbon reduction
  2. Spend more than $3 billion on agenda-driven transmission lines while neglecting aging infrastructure
  3. Misuse federal wildfire mitigation funds for projects that appear to be aligned with U.N. and racial equity agendas

The CEA has now authored legislation, the FAIR Act (H.R. 4603), introduced by Virginia Rep. John McGuire, which seeks to “restore accountability by ensuring utilities focus on their core mission: delivering safe, reliable, and affordable energy – not advancing political ideologies.”

According to the bill, the legislation would “prohibit State regulatory authorities from approving rates charged by electric utilities that engage in certain diversity, equity, or inclusion practices, or that consider environmental, social, or governance factors, and for other purposes.”

“Christian employers should take the lead in holding business leaders and government officials accountable,” Iuculano said. “Xcel Energy’s preoccupation with ESG initiatives is wasteful, abusive, and poor stewardship of God-given natural and financial resources.”

Iuculano added that, “Utilities should deliver power, not political agendas.”

“The FAIR Act ensures Christian employers aren’t punished for staying true to their convictions,” Iuculano concluded.

The Christian Employers Alliance “advocates for Christian employers nationwide, defending against government mandates and promoting policies that support religious freedom and biblical principles in the workplace,” their website explains.
