‘It’s so lazy’: Kristi Noem complains about South Park’s brutal portrayal of her

During a recent appearance on far-right commentator Glenn Beck’s show, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem made it clear she wasn’t a fan of animated series South Park’s new episode mocking her and other members of the Trump administration, calling it “lazy.”

“It’s so lazy to just constantly make fun of women for how they look. It’s only the liberals and the extremists who do that,” Noem said.

“If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly they can’t,” she told reporters, per an audio of her remarks played on CNN Thursday.

In its latest episode, South Park turned its focus on Noem, depicting the Homeland Security chief as a glammed-up, dog‑shooting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent with a constantly melting face. The visuals reference her controversial admission in her memoir that she once shot her own puppy for being “untrainable,” which was a recurring gag in the South Park episode.

The show’s satirical tentacles also reached beyond Noem — recreating Vice President JD Vance as a pint-sized “man‑baby” sidekick, and lampooning conservative grifters like Charlie Kirk through the lens of antagonist Eric Cartman’s narcissistic “master debater” persona.

The episode, which aired Wednesday, marks the latest salvo in South Park’s long-running tradition of targeting public officials across the political spectrum — from Hillary Clinton and Al Gore to the current administration.

The release comes amid a historic $1.5 billion content deal with Paramount, underlining the series’ enduring cultural influence.

Meanwhile, social media users criticized Noem for her remarks Thursday.

Former White House official Andrew Bates wrote on the social platform X: “‘My boss may be continuing to protect his dead pedophile friend who trafficked 14 year-old girls, but satirizing me is a new low.’”

Keith Edwards reacted to Noem’s comment and wrote: “Snowflake.”
