‘High-profile interview’: Trump looks to Joe Rogan for support during Epstein fallout

The New Republic reports Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche may try to book an appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast to insulate the President Donald Trump from his Epstein fallout.

“The Trump administration is contorting itself in order to not release the Epstein files,” writes TNR. “Senior administration officials are expected to meet Wednesday night at the vice president’s residence to discuss their available options for the Epstein files — one of which reportedly includes having deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche go on Joe Rogan’s podcast to discuss the scandal.”

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins reported the plan Tuesday night using anonymous sources with ears in the White House. The meeting will allegedly include Blanche, Vice President JD Vance, Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, among others.

“Sources say that there have also been internal discussions about what exactly Blanche’s next step could be, including holding a press conference or doing a high-profile interview, possibly with someone like Joe Rogan,” Collins reported.

The move comes after Blanche met with Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell for multiple days last month. After his meeting, the Department of Justice’s Bureau of Prisons transferred Maxwell to the low-security Federal Prison Camp at Bryan, Texas. Fellow inmates there are mostly non-violent, white-collar criminals including former Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes and “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Jennifer Shah.

Residents at Maxwell’s new home also have greater freedom of movement than in any other federal correctional institution. Meanwhile, Maxwell has appealed to the president and the Supreme Court for a pardon.

Rogan backed Trump for president last year, but he has criticized Trump on his podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience,” slamming the administration for not releasing the Epstein files and for “trying to gaslight” Americans.

Other podcasters who supported Trump for president, including Theo Von and Andrew Schulz, have also criticized Trump on his handling of the Epstein case. And they are not the only ones.

The New Republic reports Americans. Also, are “increasingly disturbed by Trump’s handling of the entire fiasco,” with one Emerson College Poll finding just 16 percent of Americans approved of the way Trump was managing the Epstein scandal, while 51 percent of surveyed Americans disapproved.
