The family of Virginia Giuffre — one of the victims of convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein — is now railing against what they call “preferential treatment” of top Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.
CNN host Kaitlan Collins tweeted a statement the family issued Friday afternoon, in which they expressed their anger with President Donald Trump’s administration following the announcement that Maxwell was being transferred from her maximum security Florida prison to a lower-security federal prison camp in Texas. The Giuffre family called on the American public to share in their “outrage” and for the government to do “better” by Epstein and Maxwell’s victims.
“It is with horror and outrage that we object to the preferential treatment convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell has received. Ghislaine Maxwell is a sexual predator who physically assaulted minor children on multiple occasions, and she should never be shown any leniency,” the family stated. “Yet, without any notification to the Maxwell victims, the government overnight has moved Maxwell to a minimum security luxury prison in Texas. This is the justice system failing victims right before our eyes.”

“The American public should be enraged by the preferential treatment being given to a pedophile and a criminally charged child sex offender,” the statement continued. “The Trump administration should not credit a word Maxwell says, as the government itself sought charges against Maxwell for being a serial liar. This move smacks of a cover up. The victims deserve better.”
The statement was signed by Annie Farmer and Maria Farmer, along with Sky and Amanda Roberts and Lanette and Danny Wilson. The Roberts and Wilsons both specified that they were “family of Virginia Roberts Giuffre.” Giuffre was one of Epstein’s victims who died by suicide earlier this year at the age of 41.
Trump invoked Giuffre’s name earlier this week when asked about the timeline of when he ended his friendship with Epstein. While Trump previously said that he kicked Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club for “being a creep,” he told reporters on Air Force One this week that he was angry with Epstein for poaching Mar-a-Lago staff. This apparently included Giuffre, who was a 17 year-old spa attendant at Mar-a-Lago, with Trump claiming Epstein “stole” her from his Palm Beach County golf resort.
Mark Epstein — who is Jeffrey’s brother — disputed Trump’s account of when he supposedly terminated their friendship. According to Mark Epstein, Jeffrey told him that he stopped being friends with Trump after realizing he was a “crook.” And journalist and author Barry Levine said recently that Epstein maintained his Mar-a-Lago membership until 2007 — seven years after he supposedly poached Giuffre from the Mar-a-Lago spa and after he had been charged with child trafficking.
