Creative Studio to Release Video Series for America’s 250th Anniversary

A creative studio in Austin, Texas, is launching a six-part video series to examine America’s founding principles in anticipation of the nation’s upcoming 250th anniversary.

The series, called 250 Years in Pursuit, adds to the Emergent Order Foundation’s expansive content portfolio that promotes a civilized society based on values such as human dignity and freedom. In June, The Heritage Foundation awarded the organization with a $50,000 America’s 250th Innovation Prize to assist with its initiative.

The project “will feature interviews with top historians and scholars and explore the roots of our liberty, the founding documents, and the enduring legacy of American ideals,” said Bridgett Wagner, executive director of Heritage’s Edwin J. Feulner Institute, at the award ceremony.

“[Emergent Order’s] vision is a thriving, free society rooted in civil discourse, freedom and strong families,” she added.

Ivy Karns, development director of the Emergent Order Foundation, represented the organization at the award ceremony.

“At Emergent Order, we believe that stories shape civilization,” Karns said. “We see it as our mission to tell the heroic and honest story of our founding … not to rewrite our history, but to preserve it and to spotlight the classical virtues that built this great nation so a new generation can rise to inherit liberty and, most importantly, to keep it.”

In a statement, Emergent Order founder and CEO John Papola echoed this sentiment.

“We are deeply honored by this award and the impact we hope to have together with The Heritage Foundation,” he said. “As we approach the 250th birthday of our country, it’s never been more important to rescue our culture’s understanding of our founding principles. They’ve been under sustained assault for far too long.”

According to Emergent Order, the video series will be released on podcast platforms, social media, and YouTube beginning January 2026 and culminating July 4, 2026. The initiative will also include high school educational supplements.

Emergent Order was one of five America’s 250th Innovation Prize winners chosen from 139 applicants. Other winners included Herzog Foundation Institute, Matthew Mehan of Hillsdale College, Sophia Institute, and Cana Academy.

Heritage announced a second round of prizes, with applications due Sept. 2, as a result of the popularity of the America’s 250th Innovation Prizes.
