‘Can’t even spell his state’: GOP candidate brutally mocked for leaving typo in ad

Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) faced backlash online after announcing his Senate candidacy with an advertisement that contained a glaring typo.

In a message posted to X on Sunday, Collins said he was “ready to put the hammer down and get it done.” The post included an ad that misspelled the name of Collins’ state: “Georiga.”

“Take it down! Quick,” Colonel MAGA Mark begged in one comment.

By Monday afternoon, however, the ad was still up and had been viewed more than 90,000 times.

“Mike Collins can’t even spell his state’s name,” a user named “Bodhi Seeker” observed.

“Please correct the spelling of ‘Georgia,’” another person replied. “Otherwise, I approve of this message.”

“Most Embarrassing Ad of the Year,” a commenter observed.

“Is Georiga a side piece?” Michael Lewis wondered.
