MAGA voters are becoming increasingly impatient with President Donald Trump in the wake of the Jeffrey Epstein files scandal, and the first victim of the affair may be his vice president.
Young voters told CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan during a conservative conference in Florida that Trump’s actions could make Vice President JD Vance “irrelevant” in the eyes of the base.
When asked how bad it would be if Trump refused to release the files by the end of his term, one voter told O’Sullivan it would be worst for Vance.
“If they don’t release the files, then whatever JD Vance says is irrelevant because everybody is going to take it as a lie,” one voter said during Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit. “But I think JD Vance wants these files released as well.”
Vance is one of several Trump administration officials who helped spread conspiracy theories about the Epstein files before accepting a role in the White House.
For instance, Vance asked in 2021, “What possible interest would the US government have in keeping Epstein’s clients secret? Oh…”
Vance has also called for the Epstein files to be released publicly, according to a report from Mediaite.
“Seriously, we need to release the Epstein list,” Vance said. “That is an important thing.”
MAGA voters also made it clear to CNN that they want the Epstein files released publicly.
“C’mon, Donald, give us those files!” one voter exclaimed in the video.
