President Donald Trump again declined on Tuesday to endorse Vice President JD Vance as the heir to the MAGA movement.
Trump was asked by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy during a news conference whether Vance was the “heir apparent” to the MAGA movement. Doocy cited Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s recent endorsement of Vance to be the next president.
“You could clear the entire Republican field right now,” Doocy began. “Do you agree that the heir apparent to MAGA is JD Vance?”
“In all fairness, I would say most likely,” Trump replied.
He added that Vance and Rubio could make a good ticket as well.
“There are also some great people here on the stage,” Trump said.
Trump was joined by Vance, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Attorney General Pam Bondi at the event.
“He’s probably the favorite,” Trump added.
